Even New Scientist readers are flummoxed by jargon

Yesterday Pam Ford of Better by Design said to me with a glow on her face, "Plain English makes me happy." Me too!
New Scientist readers report being "Jinxed by jargon" this week. Read EURALERT's impenetrable text on the Feedback page as well as mysterious instructions from a Mac user:

"Do not panic. The text has only changed to the colour white. Simply 'Select All' (Command-A), then change the text colour to black. Save immediately, then immediately paste in enough text to get beyond page 42. Save again."

And from Limbitin, which is:

"... a natural medicine formulated specifically to treat Restless Leg Syndrome. Limbitin comes in an easy-to-take form and is consumed orally through the mouth."
