WriteMark plain English celebrations - on a bad hair day

WriteMark Plain English Award 2009 Sponsor

Tonight's the big night. Great entertainment. Plenty of laughs. Excellent meal and wines. Fun company. And exciting awards for the winners of WriteMark Plain English Awards.

Contented Enterprises is a sponsor, and we're giving access to our new Diploma in Web Content to the winners of the following categories:

1. Best Plain English Website—Public Sector/Non-Government Organisation
2. Best Plain English Website—Private Sector
3. People’s Choice—best Plain English Website
And last but perhaps most significant:
4. People’s Choice—‘Brainstrain’ Website

This is the winner that most needs our courses, because the public nominated it as one of the most mind-numbing New Zealand sites on the web. However, receiving this award can turn out to be a blessing in disguise. How otherwise would the CEO realise this web site needs drastic attention?

So I've got something reasonably festive to wear. I'm good and ready for some fun after an annoying stream of problems this week. One final problem defeats me: it's a bad hair day for me. Nothing I can think of will fix it, except wearing a paper bag over my head.

If only Contented had a Hair Rescue Diploma, I'd do it like a shot.
